Adapting your skincare routine to winter
During the winter, dry and cold air, wind and temperature changes between indoors and outdoors have an impact on your skin. Your skin dries out and irritations can occur. It is therefore important to adapt your skincare routine to winter by opting for richer products that will protect your skin from external aggressions.
Instead of using purifying facial cleansers that could damage the skin barrier, we recommend choosing an oil-based make-up remover such as Patyka Remarkable Cleansing Oil or SVR's Sensifine Make-up Remover Balm. Nothing prevents you from moving forward with a water-based cleanser if you feel that your skin needs deep cleansing.
Trade in your purifying mask for a moisturizing mask! If you have combination to oily skin, don't be afraid. If your skin is too dry, it will produce even more sebum, which could amplify imperfections.
A good moisturizing mask will rebalance your skin's PH and give you a feeling of comfort. Our recommendation: Hydra-Filler Mask by Filorga. In just 15 minutes your skin is smoothed and deeply regenerated.
If you haven't already, it's time to incorporate a serum into your routine! Our favourites: The HAB5-Hydra Serum by Fillmed, which provides micro-filling, hydrates the skin and removes wrinkles caused by dryness, or Patyka's Hydra Booster Serum, a true SOS treatment that hydrates and helps the skin fight pollution.
Finally, finish your routine by choosing a moisturizer that will soothe your skin. Spread in a generous layer and don't hesitate to leave on overnight. Your skin will be soft and plumped in the morning. Our little tip: Patyka's Hydra-Soothing Moisturiser.
During the day, choose a skin care product that moisturises and protects your skin without making it shiny, such as Sensifine Aquagel from SVR.
